The Osman Family Sends Thanks to All Their Supportets

Tuesday September 5, 2017

Over 110 generous people helped the Osman family pay the expenses associated with their green card applications and reimburse the US State Department for their airfare to America.  Suzanne Morriss (Mongolia ’10 – ’12) spearheaded the effort and many CARV members contributed.  The online drive raised over $7,300 and exceeded our goal.  Through our intrepid friend and interpreter, Mary Ansara, Bassam and Mayada expressed their gratitude.  They also said that they are most appreciative of the moral support and many volunteer hours that we have spent with them since we first met last October.  They feel welcomed in Cincinnati.

As an update, the family has moved into a new home where they have more room for all seven members.
