On Sunday, August 27, our sister affiliate, SORVO, hosted CARV for the annual picnic at historic Hadley Farm. Gene and Christine Snyder welcomed the group to their 200 year old home in Clarksville, OH. Members and guests enjoyed touring the museum that the family has created, fished in the pond and sampled the always-awesome potluck. We were also inspired by a presentation by RPCV Shanene, who served in the Philippines before, during and after the devastating typhoon Haiyan. She introduced her husband, Edwin, who was originally a member of her host family.
