Peace Corps Acknowledges CARV Support of PC Partnership

Thursday December 5, 2019

The Peace Corps recently sent CARV the attached letter, thanking us for our support of a Peace Corps Partnership in The Gambia.  Leah Greiner, Cincinnati native and OSU graduate, is serving in a rural village where women and girls often have to walk several kilometers just to find water.  This innovative project uses solar power to move water through a new piping system to five taps in the village.  Now, women and girls will be able to spend much less time carrying water, freeing them for school work and to plant gardens to raise food for sale.  Leah’s project description in also attached.

Thank you to all CARV members, whose support allows us to assist currently serving PCVs!
